Went to autozone two weeks ago. Usually, I go here for the obsolete parts I need, with little issues, but this has bugged me ever since.
Anyway, looking for SOS pads and some Mother's Aluminum and Mag polish, the tall guy with jagged teeth and glasses approaches me, and I tell him what I need. He replied with, "What? Why would we even have SOS pads, and why do you even need them? Go to albertsons for that."
I told him I had some Alcoas that needed tender loving care. "That's stupid. Why would you polish them? That isn't going to work. Just rattle can them like I did on my red and silver Silverado." Then went on and on for 5 minutes about powder coating his wheels. Had no other alternative solutions for me, extremely unhelpful, and has tried sending me home with the wrong parts numerous times and interjecting his own opinion on what I NEED to do with my vehicles.
Well. Here's the deal. You can suck start a fart man, I know more than you, this is my trade, I do it for a living. I don't know what you have in stock all the time, which is why I ask the questions. SOS pads are exceptional at cleaning aluminum. Hence why I wanted them. Aluminum will polish into something gorgeous no matter how the montana weather treats them, or some idiot with a rattle can, for that matter. Don't condescend other people, tell them what they need, and realize you don't know everything. Get bent autozone guy. Here's a picture of your failure.
Helpful staff, and open on Sundays.
I was traveling through town and realized that my front light went out. I would need it for night time travel.
Nik was super helpful. He looked up the part, checked to make sure it was the correct one, and even installed it for me.
It's nice to have a parts store in that area. Having said that it's not the easiest in off of the street and harder getting out. When that location was added Billings was a MUCH smaller city. Traffic was less. Most people drove smaller vehicles. Well times have changed around the location. Billings is not the Magic City anymore it's the Cartel meth and phentol crime ridden killing City. Times have really changed.
The store is nice contemporary full of parts that you don't have to wait to get here from the internet and have stolen off of your porch. The people are friendly, knowledge and best of all they hand you your new part in YOUR hot little hand. Now you can get to work and fix that vehicle, instead of posting your Ring pics on Facebook trying to find the thief that has already fenced your new parts. Go to Auto zone, pick up your parts ( they have a great loyalty program as well ) and fix your auto SAME day. No lines, no waiting, parts are there, loyalty program, friendly knowledge, better than average prices. Peal out of the parking lot and go get some Chick fillet.
Autozone is close to my home therefore I chose to go there for my auto needs, that is until today when I stoped in. There were three customers in the store and I saw at least four employees working. The employee (register 2, cashier 08) that helped me was extremely grumpy and rude. He snapped at another employee for being on “his” cash register.. After my sale I tried to ask him a question about the different colors 30 amp fuses and he snapped at me, saying he doesn’t know what came in my car. I didn’t say it was for my car, only ask what the color difference in the same 30 amp fuses ment. Goodbye Autozone there are plenty of other auto part stores to spend my money in.
The folks in this store bent over backwards to help me. While traveling, I lost the keys to my utility trailer. It had a hardened padlock, so bolt cutters wouldn't touch it/ I went to Autozone here because my home-town store is great in helping. No different here, after trying the bolt cutters to no avail, the manager took a new 4 1/2" disc grinder off the shelf, gave it to me, and said there's an outlet out back to use. Problem solved. Great bunch of folks ... thanks!!!
They were amazing even though there was a huge line. Helped us find what we needed and were as speedy as they could be.
Everyone here must hate their job. Everyone always looks like it’s a chore to talk to me when I come in, and over the past several years I have yet to have one positive interaction with a staff member.
The parts manager, greeted me with a, “Hey boss, how can help you?!” Immediately I knew he was my guy! All I needed was wiper blades and he knew exactly what I needed, he loved his job and was good at it! Great attitude and made my experience wonderful!
